The Queen of House Hunting - Drag Queen Realtor Ruby Dickulous Makes History on HGTV

AUSTIN, TX — It finally happened. After more than a decade of being told she was “too much,” “too loud,” or “too glam to sell a home,” Ruby Dickulous just cemented her place in television herstory as the first-ever drag queen realtor to star on HGTV. Her debut episode, The Queen of House Hunting, premiered Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 p.m. Central and will stream this summer on Max.

Ruby, a real estate maven by day and savage comic by night, is exactly what HGTV didn’t know it desperately needed. The show follows her helping a couple navigate the chaotic Austin housing market while serving full face, smart sass, and top-tier negotiating realness.

“This isn’t your basic beige granite-flipping HGTV,” Ruby says.
“This is drag, drama, and deals. I’m out here closing contracts and finding the load-bearing walls.”

A licensed Texas realtor, stand-up comedian, and podcast host, Ruby has built a cult following with her no-BS comedy and drag realty empire. She’s opened for Lady Bunny, toured nationally, and runs a one-woman brokerage-meets-burlesque outfit called Drag Realty.

After a previous appearance was mysteriously yanked from the network without explanation, Ruby’s rise from rejection to reality TV is a win for authenticity, representation, and everyone who’s ever been told to tone it down.
